Hi,

I wish to uninstall motioninjoy. I have uninistalled the program from the add/remove programs list. I rebooted the computer. The HID virtual devices are still there including the virtual keyboard.

I wish to use some PC wireless 2.4Ghz joysticks. When I connect them, I look at the game controllers under 'control panel' and it says 'motioninjoy virtual joystick'. The motioninjoy driver is overiding. The joystick will not work

I followed this guide. Fully uninstalled motioninjoy and then deleted all occurences of HID devices.

The problem is still there. The virtual driver is still installed. When I plug in any type of controller it automatically installs the motioninjoy virtual driver again which causes the non Sony controllers not to work.

I think I'll be forced to do a format and fresh windows install. I've even tried finding the .sys files it's using and deleting them. It still wants to install the virtual controller but can't find the .sys file so it just fails. It's something to do with the registry which is full of references to motioninjoy drivers. I tried tearing up the registry but that didn't work either.

re-install motionjoy then go to driver manager page click "unload driver" (i think] then uninstall motionjoy, that shoud solve your problem. [cause it sounds like you've jus unistalled the DS3 tool and not the drivers

I am running Win7 Ultimate 32bit.

I downloaded and installed the following...
Version 0.6.0001 (signature)
32bits Windows xp,Windows vista,Windows 7: site 1 Windows XP 32bit, Windows Vista, Windows 7: Site 1

It would not recognize my Sony Dual Shock Controller no matter what I did,
so I uninstalled it. All entries in Hardware Manager with motionjoy were deleted and I rebooted. The entries are still there and are conflicting with other hardware. I checked the registry and found motionjoy under sub-keys of these keys...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet004\Enum\USB\Vid_8888&Pid_0008

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet004\Enum\USB\Vid_8888&Pid_0108

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet004\Enum\USB\Vid_8888&Pid_0208

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet004\Enum\USB\Vid_8888&Pid_0308

These are not being removed by the uninstaller.
I don't know if they can just be deleted or not.
I am not that familiar with the registry.

These are added by MotionJoy and They need to be deleted.
The attached pic shows the entry in on sub-key. I used to be able
to plug my controller into the USB to charge, now I can't. It just turns
on the #1 led.

I reinstalled motionjoy and the drivers then "unload drivers".
This restored my system and got rid of hardware devices in
hardware manager. The keys are still in the registry though.

I never got motionjoy to work with the controller.
All buttons worked, but it would not recognize either
joystick.

A lot easier to just use an Xbox controller.
They are immediatly recognized by the PC
without the need for any special programs
or drivers.
