Buy a PS2 to PS3/PC convertor to enable your PS2 controller as a Xbox 360 controller:

1) Connect the convertor with your computer/notebook, MotioninJoy will identify it as PS3 wired controller
2) Installation of MotioninJoy please refer to http://www.motioninjoy.com/wiki/en/install/latest
3) Select "Xbox 360 Controller Emulator" mode( refer to attachment "Emulate & Enable.jpg")
4) Ensure emulation is succeed( refer to attachment "Test.jpg")
5) Enjoy PS3/PC game with PS2 controller

Remark:
Make sure with the seller that the convertor can convert the PS2 controller to PS3 mode before you buy.The one has 2 plugs actually doesn't work. Recommend http://www.gameaccy.com/ps2-to-ps3-pc-c ... -convertor , good and cheap.

followed the guide, but it wont recognize the controller as a ps3 one, just a generic one. Adapter is a PS2 to PS3/PC one. Any tips?

I have the same problem. I bought a PS2 to PS3 converter and plugged it in, the Game Controller panel lists it as Twin USB Joystick and it calibrates fine.
However, on the Profiles page it says "Wait for Controller(s) to be connected"

some help please?

I also have the same problem. I'm using a PS2->PS3 converter and the PC recongnizes it as Twin USB Joysticks (it's really a Pelican Racing Wheel) but MotionJoy 7.1 keeps saying "wait for controller(s) to be connected".

What do I do now??
